Spring Travel Essentials: My Absolute Must-Have's
Spring is finally coming upon us and you know what that means: Spring Travel. This is one of my favorite travel seasons because you can duck off to a tropical getaway, or enjoy some cold weather up in the mountains. The possibilities are endless, but one thing that remains constant should be taking care of your skin. I love travel because it is always an opportunity for me to try out fabulous new travel essentials, and I want to share some of my current favorites with you! Are you ready for it?
Travel In Style For Spring
Clean Skin Is Happy Skin - Whether you are flying, bussing, or taking a road trip, it is essential to remember to keep your skin clean. For travel, I always like to have my Dermalogica Skin Purifying Wipes handy. This ensures that no matter where I am, at the end of the day I can at least get some form of cleansing in. These quick-cleansing wipes help to purify my skin while removing excess surface oils and impurities
Embrace a New System - As I mentioned before, I treat travel as an opportunity to try new products. One that I was recently thrilled to indulge in was June Jacobs' Face Travel Kit, which cleanses, exfoliates, treats and protects your skin with spa-strength skincare essentials for healthy, radiant looking skin. Can I just say how much I loved this system?! This 8-piece set includes:
- Pore Purifying Facial Bath 2 fl oz
- Sensitive Formula Mandarin Polishing Beads 0.5 fl oz
- Brightening Moisturizer 0.5 fl oz
- Neroli Hydrating Mist 2 fl oz
- Brightening Serum 0.17 fl oz
- Cellular Collagen Eye Serum 0.08 fl oz
- Lip Renewal 0.08 fl oz
- Mandarin Moisture Masque 0.5 fl oz
So basically, it covers all of the travel necessities, and then some. My skin was looking so beautiful and fresh, despite the travel time and harsh weather. June Jacobs, thank you so much! I have found some permanent additions to my everyday collection.
Care About Your Hair - I never took my hair too seriously, but as time went on I began to notice a trend of my hair drying out on long trips. This is especially true on trips where I travel by plane. So, what is my product recommendation for fabulous hair on your getaway? I love Alterna's Bamboo Smooth Travel Kit. This 4-piece kit works to smooth and nourish hair for a frizz-free look. What I particularly love about it is that it adds smoothness and shine, without adding extra weight or oil to my hair. This is one of those products that you try on vacation, then have to buy more of because it becomes an everyday staple. I simply love it.
Sunscreen, As Always - If you read my blog regularly, you know I am a huge advocate of sunscreen. To me, it is an essential if you want to protect your health and the integrity of your skin. What is my favorite? I honestly have too many to list, but two that I always love to have on-hand for travel are: Suntegrity's "5-in 1" Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen - Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and COOLA's Sport Continuous Spray Citrus Mimosa Sunscreen SPF 30. If you are jet-setting to a colder location, or simply want an extra SPF boost, another must-have for me is Epicuren's X-Treme Cream Propolis Sunscreen SPF 45+.
Bright Eyes - I don't know about you, but I love capturing photographs on my vacations - it helps to preserve the memories. Of course, travel can be tiring, which is why I like to keep eye-boosting products on-hand. My two favorites are HydroPeptide's Eye Authority: Dark Circles, Puffiness, Fine Lines and Glo Minerals Concealer Under Eye
