Hair can feel dry and brittle after using permanent hair colors. Here are some ways to take care of your damaged hair after coloring :

Moisturize: Dry and brittle hair breaks off easily; therefore it is necessary to keep it moisturized. Natural homemade moisturizers are good to bring back the moisture in your hair without the further use of chemicals. Mix the yellow part of an egg with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and apply to your hair. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner as you normally would. Olive oil and egg are both excellent moisturizers for hai. If you apply this simple mixture twice a week, you will see healthier, moisturized hair.

Dryers / Irons: Try to avoid the constant use of hair dryers or irons on colored hair since your hair is already fragile. Dryers and irons will only make it drier and damaged. If you are going to straighten it, try to use the dryer on the lowest setting possible.

Mild Shampoo: One has to be careful about the shampoo they use on colored hair. Strong chemicals found in shampoo can cause further damage. Use very mild shampoos and conditioners; sulfate-free products are best.

Trim: It is beneficial to trim your hair every 2 weeks to help get rid of the broken parts of your hair and to avoid more damage.

Massage: Massaging your scalp regularly will help to promote blood circulation, which can actually enhance hair growth. New hair is healthy hair!

Diet: A good healthy diet is extremely important to have if you want healthy hair. A good diet allows you to have the essential vitamins and minerals you need to promote hair growth and health.
