Try This New Look: Scruffy Eyeshadow

Want to try something new for this fall? Follow the look showcased at the Fall 2011 Narciso Rodriguez show. The models came out without mascara, foundation and blush! How did they get away with that? With the new sexy scruffy eye look! To get the look that was created by Shiseido’s fantastic artistic director, Dick Page, follow these simple steps as below:

Face: The models had a natural and clean look. It was only a moisturized face with no hint of any blush or a concealer. For a completely natural look of a flawless complexion, the blemishes and any redness was touched up with a perfect refining foundation.

Eyes: Dick Page, using a small flush brush to apply a shimmering cream eye color, created the sexy scruffy eyes. This eye color applied along the bottom and upper lash line. After this eye shadow is applied and blended, use a darker shade to mix the two shades together. To create a wet glossy look, Dick blended the edges of the top and lower eye with little lip treatment. Even without mascara, the eyes of the models attracted attention!

Lips: The lips were dabbed on with a shimmering lipstick. Later, according to the model’s specific skin tone, this was blended with a cream foundation or concealer. The shimmering lipstick I love to use is Glo Minerals Sheer Lip Stick.
