Top 10 Beauty Fall 2010 Trends

*Velvet Clothing- The fall fashion is going to be a lot more feminine, sensual, inward, and even more sexy! Velvet is coming back stronger than ever! With black velvet looking sleek and minimal, colored velvet, such as wine, midnight blue, and forest green are coming back too! Start wearing velvet now to embrace this comeback.

*Supersized Braids went global in 09. We saw these teeny-tiny hippie braids on celebs such as Lauren Conrad, who sported them 24/7. These, bold and beautiful braids have been all over the runway this spring---which means other celebs and hair pros will be wearing them like crazy this fall! When you get tired of braiding, try unraveling the braid into soft beach waves! With a little squeeze and scrunch, you’re good to go!

*Dark lips have been the trend for quite some time now. We have seen stars like Rihanna sporting her sunglasses at night with a dark, dramatic, plum toned gloss. *Pigment above and below the eyes is being taken to the extreme! The hottest new trend is bright, fun colors! The cutting-edge fashionista’s are showing up in colorful, shadowy eye makeup. This means…bring out the Crayola hues! Just a tip, when you are using these shadows, try and use a simple nude or sheer gloss to prevent going overboard with your look—the key is to look sophisticated.

*Glitter/metallic nails—the runway models are glamorizing their nails this season! Fun glitter glitz’s and shiny metallic shades are the ticket to style!

*No makeup look- The biggest news in skin? Nothing. At shows, such as Alexander Wang and Rag& Bone, make-up artists are trying to embrace the “no makeup look on my skin.” This means, that we all must be using good skin care products now! *Smudgy Eyes are HOTT! The smoky eyes are fading out, and the just waking up smudgy looking eyes are in! To create this look, try lining your inner lid with a black liner then drawing another line just below the lower lash. Next, using your ring finger (weakest finger—should be the least damaging to that delicate area) smudge the eyeliner from the inside out so that it blends evenly around your lid.

*Capes/ponchos are easy to wear and perfect for everyone occasion! Whether they are big and dramatic, or tiny and tailored, the cape it definitely the new fall cover-up of choice.

*Arch Madness The brow was back for fall. This may sound crazy, but it sure looks great! Candy-colored shades of icy blue and acid green are being seen as a “double brow” look.
