The Spring 2016 Trends You'll Want to Start Rocking Today

I absolutely love when the seasonal trend reports hit. Yes, we get a speculative list ahead of time. Yes, we do see some overlap each year. But that doesn't make it any less fun to see just what products and colors will take center stage. Of course, a girl always enjoys some time to prep and stock up before the actual season begins ;-) . So without further a-do, here are the Spring 2016 beauty trends! And of course, there are many you might want to start rocking today.

An Apple a Day. If you were projecting coral or orange to be the hot lip color of Spring, think again! Candy Apple Red took center stage on the Spring Fashion Week runways, and with so many variations of red to choose from, you can count on finding the right shade to compliment your skin tone. If you simply cannot wait until March to start wearing the look, don't fret, a red pout is timeless and always in style.

Bronzed Beauty. If you have stayed away from bronzers for fear of the dreaded "Oompa Lumpa" effect, it is time to take a deep breath, and dive in. The secret to a gorgeous bronze lies in proper product selection, and good application. I have found YouTube to be a gold mine when it comes to product selection (watch people with a similar skin tone to your own) and application technique. The best part? It's totally free!

Brilliant Blues. If you've been wanting to wear blue, but weren't quite sure when the right time would be, the answer is: Spring 2016! From graphic liners to full blown smokey, blue was a statement eye accent on the Spring 2016 runways. If you want to try the trend, but are intimidated (I know, it seems bold), grab a blue liner that compliments your skin tone and go for a subtle flick above your upper lashes.

Loud Lashes. Is this anything new? It seems each season asks lashes to be bigger and bolder. Thankfully we live in a time with multiple formulas to help boost both volume and length. I personally adore Blinc's Amplified Mascara!

Pinks & Peaches. I'm sure you are used to reading about these two as lip colors, but they are making their way to eyeshadows for Spring 2016! When applied right (think smoked out, yet subtle) these shades lend such a soft, ethereal element to your makeup. Whether you're a fan of shimmer or matte, don't be afraid to give this trend a try.

Serious Shimmer. If you're a fan of shimmer and shine, get ready to wear it on your eyes. Yes, serious shimmer is in, from glitter shadows, to duo chrome pigment powders, to metallics. Whether you're going bold, or soft, a sweep of shimmer will be totally on trend for the season.
