Makeup Hacks: Improving Your Skin
If you are like me, you grew up wondering if there was any makeup out there that could potentially help your skin. Or, at the very least, be worn over irritated skin without causing further irritation. Luckily for us, we live in a time where those products absolutely exist! So, are you looking for the best of the best in helpful makeup? Let's get started, shall we?
My Favorite Picks
Conceal & Heal: Have you ever had a blemish you desperately wanted to cover up? Of course, we know this is usually a terrible idea. However, with GloMinerals Concealer Under Eye, this no longer has to be a big worry. This fabulous product helps to hide and heal blemishes, scarring, hyperpigmentation and other skin conditions. Yes, you read correct, it helps to heal all of the above. The pigment is rich enough to conceal, and goes the distance to help improve your skin. It has also proven fabulous for improving dark circles under the eyes.
Say Hello To CC: So most of us have heard of BB Creams. And more recently, CC Creams have become all the rage. One of my absolute favorites is La Bella Donna's CC Cream. This fabulous formulation glides on evenly, and helps to conceal large pores, color correct, and brighten skin for a more beautiful complexion. Think of it as a tinted moisturizer, only better. I absolutely love this product. It goes on well, and lasts me throughout the day.
Play With Powder: I know a lot of people who are weary of loose powder foundations, as some of the pioneers of loose powder mineral foundations put forth products that did not have great coverage or became oily throughout the day. Of course, a lot of that has to do with your skin type. When it comes to loose minerals, one of my favorites is Youngblood's Natural Loose Mineral Foundation. This is a must have for me, personally. It is sheer, yes, but delivers coverage for a more natural look. It is incredibly breathable. I always say take your makeup off before exercise. If you are one of those people who refuse, you need to rock a formula like this one. This formulation is good for all skin types, including: sensitive, rosacea, post-treatment, acneic, and more.
Treating Rosacea: If you live with rosacea, you know how difficult it can be to find a product at all, let alone one that targets rosacea. Which is why I was so excited to discover Lycogel's Breathable Camouflage. This fabulous formulation combines cosmetic and skincare technology that has many benefits for those suffering from rosacea, or even acne. It helps to reduce redness and swelling, is ultra breathable, and is designed specifically to keep hyper-sensitive skin calm and collected. It combats topical bacteria that causes rosacea, and helps to moisturize the skin. Don't think it could possibly get better? It also helps to fight wrinkles and promotes anti-aging by utilizing botanical stem-cell technology and peptides. This is one of my all-time favorite foundation/concealer formulations, and I am so excited to be offering it to my Beauty Mates.
Luscious & Long Wearing: I don't know about you all, but I have been on a serious lipstick kick lately. Many people ask me how I get good coverage, that is long lasting, and moisturizing. There are thousands upon thousands of options out there for the lip color aficionado. And if you are like me, you know that not all are created equal when it comes to color payoff, longevity, and moisture. One of my favorite all-in-one products is Mirabella's La La Lips Lip Pencils. These pencils are creamy and ultra moisturizing, and glide on with a fluid-like texture that creates a satin finish. The color is long-wearing, and it is absolutely possible to create a more "matte look" by patting the lips with a tissue post-application. They are infused with ingredients designed to preserve skin suppleness, elasticity, and tone. They are simply fabulous.
