A Helping Hand In The Cooler Weather
The weather has finally gone into full fledged fall mode, which means cooler temperatures and turning leaves. And of course if that isn't enough to have your hands feeling a little dried out, the hand-washing during cold season may have you feeling uncomfortably dry. Yes, as a small business owner and mother, I know all about hand-washing to keep my health up and going strong during the colder fall and winter months. But something that I have always tried to avoid on top of that is the uncomfortable dryness that comes along with the season.
A Helping Hand
Dermalogica MultiVitamin Hand & Nail Treatment - this has been an ultimate go-to of mine for years, and with good reason! This non greasy treatment of botanicals and vitamins helps to repair my chapped skin while strengthening my nails
Image Skincare Ageless Total Rejuvenating Hand Cream - yet another long-time favorite of mine is Image Skincare's Ageless Total Rejuvenating Hand Cream. Something that is unique about this product is the fact that it protects against UVA/UVB rays, which are a leading cause of accelerated aging. It also protects your skin from free radical damage while providing deep moisture to your hands. I recommend applying this multiple times a day if you plan to get the most out of its sun-protecting benefits!
Eminence Organics Vanilla Mint Hand Cream - a lot of us don't realize how dried out our hands are until they are already irritated. In these instances it can be irritating to put on lotion, so we continue to avoid it. This is when I like to whip out my Eminence Organics Vanilla Mint Hand Cream. This product was designed to soothe dry, cracked skin and it smells absolutely amazing. It contains Shea Butter to calm and moisturize, Denatured Grain Alcohol to act as a natural antibacterial/antiseptic, Vanilla to help calm, soothe, and improve circulation, Peppermint to help act as an antioxidant, anti-bacterial, and purifier, and Aloe to help soothe and calm your skin even further. This is a definite go-to and something that I always like to have on-hand (get it? :) ).
All in all, it is simply important to remember to moisturize up during this colder time of the year! It is always best to prevent cracked, dry skin. But of course its also great to know your options in the case that you don't realize until you are already hurting. Happy moisturizing!
