Get a Gorgeous Wedding Glow with Youngblood Cosmetics
I absolutely love summer, and I absolutely love Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. And with wedding season in full swing, I thought it would be fun to give my readers a chance to achieve wedding-gorgeous looks on their own, or with the help of their trusted makeup artist. I met with the fabulous ladies of Youngblood Cosmetics, who demonstrated this gorgeous looks on one of my medical estheticians, so I can say first hand that the finished result is gorgeous! So, are you ready to achieve a wedding-beautiful look?
Get Gorgeous: Wedding Day or Everyday
Step 1: It is always important to start with a clean based, so give your skin a thorough wash! Pat your skin dry and spritz on the Youngblood Minerals in the Mist of your choice! I am a huge fan of Relax, their new Lavender spray.
Step 2: This is more like 3 steps combined into one, but it is going to make a huge difference for your finished look. Start by applying one (1) full pump of the Mineral Primer to your entire face. Next, dab some Eye Impact Quick Recovery around your eyes, to brighten up any darkness and reduce puffiness on a dime. To finish out this prep-step, apply Youngblood's Anti-Shine Mattifier Oil Control Solution to your oilier areas. For me that is my t-zone. This creamy formula feels powdery when applied, and really helps to keep shine at bay all day long.
Step 3: This step you are going to pick and apply your foundation. Our model wanted a medium/matte coverage, so the makeup artist went with Youngblood's Mineral Radiance Cream Powder Foundation for the face, Ultimate Concealer for around the eyes, and set the look with the Pressed Rice Powder in Medium.
Step 4: Are you ready to create gorgeous lips? All you need is Youngblood's Lip Liner Pencil (we used the shade pout) and Lipstick (we used their latest shade, Mimosa).
Step 5: You may be looking in the mirror thinking you look "ghostly". Remember, we have only put one shade on your entire face, so now is the time to contour. Try one of the four Mineral Radiance palettes for bronzing, and finish this off with Youngblood's Luminous Cream Blush. I am addicted to the shade plum satin. It looks amazing on every skin tone I have seen it on.
Step 6: Now it is time to apply your eyes. We used the Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in eternity, which delivers a gorgeous array of colors for a natural or dramatic look. I seriously hope this palette never gets discontinued, because it is going to be a essential for me, now and forever. We started with the base color (lower LH shade) all over the lid, contoured the crease with the lower RH shade, and blended it all together and highlighted the brow bone with the top two shades.
Step 7: To make the model's eyes pop even more, the artist used Eye-Mazing Liquid Eyeliner Pen in... get this... verde. This is a very earthy dark green that really complimented the both the eyeshadow and the model's eyes. This was followed up by a coat of Mineral Lash Primer and Mineral Lengthening Mascara in Mink, a gorgeous deep brown. Pro Tip: apply the mascara over the lash primer while the primer is still wet. Use side swipes to get a natural, defined look, as opposed to the typical "spider lashes".
Step 8: Ever wonder how celebs have such big, glowing eyes? Applying Youngblood's Eye Illuminating Duo
Step 9: Time to finalize your look. Use a clean brush to whisk away and "fallout" from your eyeshadow application. And lastly, spritz on last layer of the Minerals in the Mist of your choice. And voilas! You are wedding gorgeous, or have completed a beautiful soft look you can wear anytime.
