Homemade Smoothies For Your Face!

As the summer heat begins, nothing beats my homemade orange pineapple smoothies AND facial masks. Homemade facial masks are easy to make, great for your skin and smell yummy too! Take it from me when I say: by using natural ingredients we can hydrate, exfoliate, moisturize, tone, soften, and repair our skin. I suggest sipping on a smoothie with the leftovers from your homemade mask! Here are two recipes. One for my favorite smoothie that you have to have to try and for a great mask to go along with it!

This smoothie tastes like sunshine in a glass!

What you need:

1 Orange

½ banana (sliced and frozen)

½ cup of orange juice

½ cup of frozen pineapple chucks.

Directions:

All you have to do is peel the orange and remove any seeds. Add all ingredients in your blender and voila! If you want your smoothie to be a little thinner then just add a bit of water. Nothing better than a Vitamin C filled breakfast or an afternoon cool down.

Along with your smoothie, try this companion facial mask.

This recipe is great for all skin types. It will vitalize dull skin and shrink your pores!

What you need:

1 cup of papaya

¼ cup of pineapple

½ cup of orange

½ tablespoon organic honey

How to do it:

Warm up the honey in hot water until it becomes a thin liquid texture. Mash/blend the fruit and honey together. When you are done, simply lie down and relax for 20 minutes with this great concoction on your face! After, wash your face with lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer.
