Can you tell me what ingredients are in Bioelements products?
Bioelements clinical skin care formulas do not contain artificial colorants, synthetic fragrance or parabens – which can irritate and damage skin – and they never test on animals.
What does "our skin care products do not contain synthetic fragrances or colorants" mean?
Artificial colorants and synthetic fragrance can irritate the skin. This type of irritation is referred to as "irritant contact dermatitis," a simple irritation that develops in response to a substance applied to the skin. Irritant contact dermatitis can cause redness, itching, rash or worse. Bioelements never uses synthetic fragrances. Every aroma you smell comes from 100% natural essential oils or plant extracts that are used in the products for their therapeutic value. Their amazing aromas are a bonus. And, they never use artificial colorants. That's why our products tend to be white or a very soft color. Artificial colorants serve no purpose in skin care products and actually cause harm. When you use a Bioelements product, you're never putting dye or perfume on your face!
I'm allergic to shellfish and iodine. Can I use products that contain the ingredient 'algae'?
There are many types of algae, but in general, ingredients from the ocean such as 'algae' and 'seaweed' naturally contain iodine just as shellfish does. However, the severity of the allergy depends on the person. Many people cannot ingest shellfish because of an iodine allergy, but would have no problem putting a product on their skin. Other clients have a more serious condition and cannot do either. When dealing with any client that has an allergy, it's not up to us to determine what is 'safe'. With any allergy, it's up to their doctor or allergist to make the determination of how severe the allergy is, and what they need to avoid. This needs to be determined before you perform any treatments or professionally recommend any take home products to this client.
What products contain gluten?

Does Bioelements test on animals?
The Bioelements team is made up of animal lovers. Animal testing is not, nor has it ever been, part of Bioelements' product development, ingredient formulation or production.
What is the shelf life of Bioelements products?
While specific products can vary, in general, unopened products have a shelf life of 1-3 years when stored properly. After opened, they simply recommend that products are used as directed promptly, within one year.
I'm pregnant- can I still use your products/get facials?
Bioelements products are safe for pregnant women. However, as every pregnancy is different, it's always best to consult with your physician. Sometimes your skin can become more sensitive, more dehydrated and even experience breakouts during pregnancy, so we recommend that you treat your skin gently.
What products do you recommend for people that are sensitive to perfume or scent in their product?
If you are allergic or sensitive to synthetic or artificial fragrance, the good news is that Bioelements products don't contain any! The aromas in Bioelements products come from natural plant extracts or essential oils. Many of their products are known for their clean, fresh aroma, and the fact that every ingredient used in their products are chosen for a specific skin care benefit.
