I've been told that I have sensitive skin. What does that mean?
Sensitive skin can be found in any skin type category, such as oily, dry, or acneic. Skin that becomes easily irritated by certain detergents, kinds of cloth, and cosmetics, as well as environmental elements like temperature change, rain, sun, and wind, is considered sensitive. When inflamed, it becomes tight, dry, itchy, blotchy, or red.
Sensitive skin can be caused by several factors. Skin that has become injured or excessively dry might be unable to protect nerve endings within it, causing a reaction. Disorders associated with sensitivity include hives, rosacea, and eczema. Sensitive skin also has a genetic variable, which is still not fully understood. Age, heritage, and gender are all believed to have some influence on sensitivity level. |
